Boxing workouts at home-A new approach that actually works!

Using boxing workouts at home really is a wonderful way to lose weight and get fit. There are all kinds of wonderful dvds and other resources on the internet that actually work! Seems hard to believe but it is true!

I can remember when I was a kid watching boxing matches on the TV with my dad. I always thought it was a ridiculous sport. Nowadays, you can't even see them unless you are willing to do "pay per view".

With the introduction of dvds there are all kinds of wonderful ways to use boxing routines in your workouts. That is really a great thing for several reasons.

Many elements of boxing are fantastic in terms of being a complete body workout. You simply can't find many other kinds of activities (including aerobics) that can compare. The key to all of this is finding a resource that is fun but challenging as well.

Some of you that are reading this may not remember Jack Dempsey, Sonny Liston or Muhammed Ali. They were some of the greats in the sport. Wouldn't it be great if you could find boxing workouts at home that made you as fit as they were?

Many fitness buffs kind of turn their nose up when you talk about boxing. Their natural inclination is to think it is so old fashioned. Every once in a while the "classics" have something to offer though!

People are beginning to realize that the "jogging craze" has left them with worn out joints and broken down bodies. The constant pounding on your joints really does take a toll after a while. It may seem silly but a good boxing training routine is a much better alternative.

Your routine if it incorporates the right kind of training will definitely be "low impact". That's the beauty of it! You get the best of both worlds. Very little wear and tear on the body while getting a great cardio workout!

The moral of the story is sometimes going back to the "old standards" is the best way to go. Think about trying boxing. You may be pleasantly surprised at the results!
